Fees / Rebates

All consultations (in clinic or home visit) attract the relevant consultation fee. If additional assessments or higher cost treatments are provided, the fees are charged in addition to the consultation fee and you'll be advised of the cost before the assessment/treatment. All fees are payable at the end of the consultation. Note: for custom insoles, a minimum of two consultations are needed: one to assess and to construct a cast of your feet, and another to issue the new insoles. Most people also need a third consultation to adjust the insoles. You will only be charged at most 3 consultations regardless the number of consultations needed for adjustments.

Payments and rebates

In clinic: Credit/debit card and HICAPS (Health insurance member card). A surcharge may apply to credit/debit card payments in line with the medical centre policies.

Home/Hospital visits: Credit/debit card (tap-and-go only) and in cash. Health insurance rebates are processed through the Tyro Health Online for supported Health Funds - you will be sent an SMS to authorise health fund claim. A 1.9% surcharge may apply to credit/debit card payments.

Rebates for the consultation may be available from Medicare (a valid referral is needed from your GP) or from your private health insurance. Medicare requires that the consultation be paid for in full before they will deposit the rebate to your nominated bank account. Rebates for investigations and treatment are only available from private health insurance. For Medicare rebates, you must pay the consultation fee in full, and we can submit the Medicare claim on your behalf once payments have been received. For private health funds, if we are unable to process your rebate on site (not all health funds are supported), you will need to first pay the invoiced amount in full, then manually submit your claim attaching the tax invoice to your health insurance company.
